世界糧食計畫署榮獲2020諾貝爾和平獎！World Food Program Won Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize this year was awarded to The World Food Program, a United Nations agency, for its efforts to combat global hunger amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Nobel committee said that the work by The World Food Program, in the face of the pandemic, had address hunger and laid the foundations for peace in nations ravaged by war.

Many nations, particularly those at war, have suffered from increasing hunger with the combination of conflict and the pandemic. The World Food Program estimates that the number of people at risk of food insecurity is more than 265 million.
