網路是個極度自由的資訊世界，孩子透過網路交的朋友，看到的負面訊息，都很直接的影響到身心發展，這也是父母看不到的死角，南韓政府研發的「智能警察」APP監控青少年上網，這樣強勢的做法，到底是好還是不好？

Many parents would like to know exactly what their children are up to, especially when they are online.

很多家長想知道他們的孩子都在幹嘛，尤其是在網路上。

And there are plenty of apps to keep track of the websites young people visit on smartphones.

現在有很多手機應用程式可以查到現在年輕人在網路上上了什麼網站。
But South Korea has made having one of these apps compulsory for anyone under 19 who buys a new smartphone.

南韓政府規定未滿19歲的青少年 智慧型手機都必須安裝這個程式。
And the government has developed its own app called Smart Sheriff.

而且政府自己研發的這個應用程式稱為智能警長。
Is this Big Brother-style invasion of privacy or a genuine attempt to protect children online?
