No safe level of alcohol! Even moderate drinking has adverse effects on the brain

Scientists at the University of Oxford have found that even moderate drinking is harmful to the brain.

People used to believe that drinking wine in moderation could be beneficial to health and merely affected some specific areas of the brain. However, those who drink moderately are usually wealthier and higher educated, which may explain perceived health benefits.

After crunching the data from more than 25,000 participants, researchers found that alcohol will lower grey matter density and negatively affect almost every part of the brain.Your brain is worse off with the more wine you consume. In other words, no amount of alcohol consumption is safe for brain health, and also“no threshold drinking for harm, ” according to the leading author of the research paper.
