Cloud Gate Dance Theatre performed “13 Tongues” in a field of rice paddies in Taitung County. Artistic Director Cheng Tsung-lung said he was moved by the ever-changing views of the clouds in Chihshang. He presented his work at the annual autumn harvest festival for the first time. Cloud Gate has performed other works at the festival in 2013 and 2018.
The performance was joined by pop singer 9m88, who performed along with the dancers while singing before and after the main show.
The organizer of the annual festival said that the event helps pull local residents together, as well as having a positive impact on the education of students in the township.
