Nothing during the 11-week coronavirus lockdown could replace the ritual: a table in the sun on which rests a tiny cup of black coffee. Cafes throughout France were allowed to reopen, but in Paris, cafes were still not allowed to serve customers inside. Instead, the outdoor terraces were open, and tables had to be 1 meter apart.
Parisians could once again sit down with one another, albeit separately. They could be in the same space together without having to talk to one another, which is ideal for French people.
Parisians are used to treating cafes as an extended living space. “It’s my second living room,” said one café customer.

常常喝咖啡，但除了coffee之外，就不知道其他關於咖啡的英文了，現在我們一起來學。
咖啡館、咖啡店，英文可用coffee shop，也可以直接用來自法文的café。通常café不會只賣咖啡，還會賣一些甜點、食物等。
咖啡師傅英文是barista，是非常專業的工作，別講成coffee maker，那是咖啡壺的意思。
至於我們常喝的咖啡種類，包括濃縮咖啡expresso 、拿鐵latte、卡布其諾cappuccino、美式咖啡 Americano。
