As the pandemic slows down in Palau, it and Taiwan, one of its Pacific allies, are in talks on forming a “travel bubble” so that people can travel in tour groups, but the Palau government is still discussing appropriate pandemic prevention measures.
If a travel bubble is formed, tourist would not need to undergo the current compulsory 14-day quarantine required for all arrivals to Taiwan.
The Palauan government wants to take a closer look at the proposed prevention plan, so the timetable remains unknown. Also, the Taiwanese health authorities are also debating whether travelers should still stay in quarantine for 14 days after the return.
