Germany is gradually lifting its COVID-19 lockdown. A café in Schwerin has been greeting its customers by handing out pool noodles to maintain social distancing since reopening.
Rather than using plastic dividers and floor markings to keep people apart, the café now provides hats with two swimming noodles attached to the top. It looks like a perfect and fun method to keep others at a distance of 1.5 meters with the headgear on.
The café remained open during the shutdown for takeout only. With the new social distancing measures, it has only 12 tables inside and 8 outside, using less than half of its original seating capacity.
